Dungeons Beta

Dungeons mostly follows the D&D 5e SRD. There are exceptions, some of the most notable of which are listed here.
  • #1

Attacks are rolled in pairs. If both rolls miss, they are ignored and both creatures reroll until at least one hits. This also means that spell slots are not consumed if both creatures miss.
  • #2

Actions that would normally be impossible (namely, out of range attacks against a monster) are rolled with disadvantage instead. For spell attacks with DC, this means that the target monster gets advantage on its saving throw.
  • #3

When the character reaches 0 hit points, all Death Saving Throws are rolled immediately. On 3 successful rolls, the character is returned to 1 hit point. On 3 failed rolls, the character dies and the campaign ends. The first death of every campaign is automatically saved.
  • #4

Weapons do not use ammo, and equipment never breaks or has weight. Only one set of armor and up to two weapons can be carried/equipped at the same time.
  • #5

All currency is in terms of Gold (GP). Costs lower than 1 GP are rounded up to 1 GP.
  • #6

Running from a fight performs the greatest of an Acrobatics (Dex) or Athletics (Str) check and factors in the differences in speed. The character may easily get away, possibly take damage, get pulled back into combat, or fail completely and stay in combat.
  • #7

All characters, regardless of class or race, start with 12 + Con modifier hit points. Characters not proficient in any armor (namely, spell casters) gain a small AC bump.
